January 2-7, 2008, St James, Trelawny, St Ann and St Mary parishes,
Jamaica
Jamaican and U.S. Friends shared worship, community and learning.
They explored the contribution of Quakers to the history of Jamaica
and participated in Alternatives to Violence training. They saw first-hand
the damage to crops and meetinghouses caused by recent hurricanes,
and the extensive fire damage to two buildings at the Swift-Purcell
Boys' home.
